Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
This course prepares healthcare professionals to identify severe life emergency conditions and be able to provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). A two year card certification is awarded upon successful completion of this course.
This course involves the management of cardiac arrest mega codes, identification of cardiac rhythms and treatment of emergency conditions in adult. Upon successfully completion of the skills and written assessment of this course, the participant receives a certification card that is valid for two years.
This course provides knowledge of basic first aid and skills required to respond to medical emergencies. Some of the skills covered are treatment for bleeding, administration of Epi-pen, management of sprains, broken bones, stroke, heat stroke, shock and many others. This course involves only the skills portion of the ACLS course. Participants who have successfully completed the part I ACLS American Heart Association online portion with certificate are eligible to take this course.
Pediatric Life Support (PALS)
This course focuses on the management of cardiac arrest of the Pediatric population (Infant and children). This course is geared towards nurses, physicians, residents, medical students and EMT/Paramedics, respiratory therapists and those who work in the pediatric emergency department, Critical care areas, pediatric and neonatal intensive care units. Certification is valid for two years.

Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS)
This course provides knowledge on how to evaluate and manage emergency conditions in the pediatric population. Topics covered are respiratory distress, shock, cardiac arrest and appropriate interventions required to manage these conditions are also addressed in this course.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
This program is jointly sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Heart Association. This course is designed for hospital staff that cares for the new born at the time of birth. This course utilizes evidence-based approach. The written portion of this course is completed online at the AAP website and the skills portions has two options basic or Advanced level. Certification is valid for two years.
